About Me

After studying Art and Photography at university I worked in creative industries in London and Oxford before moving into a teaching career.  I now use these skills to share my joy of the arts, something that can truly lift the spirit and offer the chance to step outside of the everyday.

My Studio

I am very lucky to live in a pretty village only 20 minutes outside of the beautiful city of Prague.  My studio is in a converted barn, it is full of character and it is a beautiful light and spacious space to spend time creating!

Painting

I enjoy painting with different media.  I paint on large canvases with acylics, often inspired by the sights of Prague.  I also enjoy working with watercolour and inks.  I am inspired by nature and have recently taken up creating more abstract images using fluid art, particularly inspred by flowers and nature.

Crochet

My mum taught me to knit when I was a little girl and I have always loved knitting.  But during Covid lockdown with extra time on my hands, I decided to try crochet. And although it took a bit of time and patience.. and practice, I now love it.  From blankets, to baskets, to coasters and cushion covers, I love the variety and creativity that crocheting gives you.

Jewellery

When I moved to Prague I discovered Czech glass beads and taught myself how to make jewellery.  I love to wire wrap beads and make earrings.  Or use bead weaving techniques to make bracelets and necklaces.
